Sorrow + Saudade = ?...?...

According to a recent survey made in 15 European Union member States, the Portuguese and the Italians consider themselves to be the least happy and the least satisfied with their own lives... In whole Europe?... In the whole world?... I don’t know, but I think it doesn’t take much effort to guess it...

I wonder why indeed...

I wish I could rule myself out of this depressing landscape, but the more I fight against it the more I feel myself condemned to obey to a certain logical routine that has very little to do with me... To say the least...

Up till now, 2007 hasn’t proven to be a «reasonable» year, as far as I’m concerned... Much on the contrary. All I can do is keep fighting against adversity and hope that one of these days the sun will finally rise and shine for me...

But then... I come back to my blog whenever I can and I find out that the sun can shine indeed in many different ways... One of them is through the many wonderful comments I happen to read to my sporadic posts! I read them and I don’t feel so sad anymore!

I do thank you all − Portuguese and «foreigners» alike − so very much for helping me go through these last few weeks that have sometimes turned into an ordeal! Even if I’m not responding to your comments right now the same way I used to do, please be sure that I read them all very attentively!
Some do really move me...

Each and every one of you, dear blogger friends, have a place in my heart. Don’t you doubt a single instant about it! Don’t you forget about our «Happy Few Club»! I won’t!
Hugs and greetings!

RIC

Here is a little song I wrote
You might want to sing it note for note
Don't worry be happy
IN EVERY LIFE WE HAVE SOME TROUBLE
When you worry you make it double
Don't worry, be happy......
DON'T WORRY, BE HAPPY

Já comentei contigo, por outra via, que o ano ainda não vai a meio, e virão aí dias muito bons e merecidos.
Abração.

Ricardo, I continue to send my love to you. I have fresh flowers growing in my garden. The garden is always open for you to drift in and to breath in the sweet tender beauty of spring forcing it way thru the winter landscape.

You are in my thoughts and prayers for tender mercy to come to you.

Caro Ric,
Bernardo

The sun rises every time you post, dear friend........

Your blog has been an inspiration to me in many ways; You've introduced me to your culture, you've educated me on authors and artists I had never before heard of, you've given me a reason to someday visit Portugal.

In the face of adversity, rise above the problems that you encounter.

Life is for living.... enjoy each waking moment!

Welcome back to blogland. You have been dearly missed.

You have my love and friendship and remember that I also am only an e-mail away.
